A Conversation with Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan on Country Music

In this episode I am joined by award-winning director and filmmaker Ken Burns and his producer Dayton Duncan to discuss their latest project for PBS, “Country Music.” They have worked together on several documentaries, including JazzCivil WarBaseball. In our conversation, we talk about American culture, the influences of country music, and the artists who understood the way that country music embodies the deep questions of humanity: identity, sin and redemption, and longing.

I invite you to listen in on our conversation, and be sure to subscribe to receive future episodes of Signposts
