One Thing You Missed: OK Boomer, Avocado Toast, and What the Scriptures Teach us about Generational Conflict

This week an article in the Wall Street Journal caught my eye about a study on generational tensions. Right now the phrase “OK Boomer” is probably the best example of this, but there are many other examples including the way millennials are often stereotyped by older generations. After reading the article, I thought about how important it is for Christians to resist the temptation to reject the value and insights of those in other generations simply because we might feel less commonality with them.

Only when we see how lost we are, we can find our way again. Only when we bury what’s dead can we experience life again. Only when we lose our religion can we be amazed by grace again.
