One Thing You Missed: What We Can Learn from C.S. Lewis and Fred Rogers

Last Friday marked the anniversary of the death of C.S. Lewis. That same day also marked the release of a new film, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” about the life of Fred Rogers. As I was thinking about these seemingly unrelated things, the lives of Fred Rogers and C.S. Lewis, I realized that the two actually have something very significant in common.

Only when we see how lost we are, we can find our way again. Only when we bury what’s dead can we experience life again. Only when we lose our religion can we be amazed by grace again.
