On the Issues: Loneliness

Tweet Share

As a society, we have an epidemic of loneliness on our hands. It is undeniable that many are struggling under the weight of their sense of isolation. Human beings are innately designed for connection and community. Whether our loneliness is hidden by frenetic activity or some other mask, it is a problem that Christians must address. In this video, I reflect on Jesus’ rhythms of withdrawal and community, examine people’s responses to loneliness, and provide guidance for addressing the loneliness in our lives and the lives of those around us.

How should the church respond to the loneliness epidemic?
