Intelligent Design theorists have been reminding us for years that Darwinism is more than just a scientific concept. It is, in fact, more than just an ideology. It is a full-blown theology—built on metaphysical assumptions about a closed universe and a theodicy that requires a blind process rather than a personal Designer in order to make sense of a nature red in tooth and claw.
The latest issue of Touchstone magazine takes on the Darwinian spin doctors with an examination of the most recent thinking on Intelligent Design. Copies of the issue would be a fruitful discussion-starter for church Bible studies or campus ministries. It can also serve as a spur toward evangelism with secular-minded intellectuals.
